Warning: Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Thar be foodporn ahead.
Let me introduce y'all to a term that basically defines my entire life: べつばら (betsubara). The betsu is from べつべつ, meaning separate, and the bara means stomach. Loosely translated, betsubara means separate stomach (for dessert...or another meal, etc).

Went to a small cafe on Friday with Thaddeus and David after lunch at Sukiya (I had curry rice there, and it was delicious). Ordered a strawberry cake parfait, and it was absolute perfection. |

Some type of noodle. I think it's called omatsu? Nevertheless, it was delicious. |
|
Promptly after the curry rice, the dessert, and the noodles, I went home and had sushi. べつばら、べつばら. My favorites were the squid, scallop, and amai (sweet shrimp) sushi. |
