As much as possible

About

Some Context

Let me give some context to this blog and to myself. Hi. I'm Kat, and I'm currently a college student at Yale University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. My life outside of school revolves around a couple things right now, chief among them being crafting, art, ping pong, and Krav Maga.

Other than all the STEM classes that I'm taking, I'm also learning Japanese. Why Japanese? I began learning Japanese because I'm an anime and manga nut, but I also love how challenging the language is. Which sounds weird, I know, but I love a good challenge. On top of that, Japanese has never really felt like a class. More like a happy, crazy family (sensees included) having fun for an hour each day. And this is why I am so grateful and excited to have the chance to spend the summer abroad in Japan through the generosity of the Richard U. Light Fellowship.

This summer, I'll be furthering my Japanese studies at Princeton in Ishikawa, which brings me to the purpose of this blog. This blog is meant to chronicle all of my shenanigans and adventures in Japan. You'll be seeing lots of food (one of my true loves), lots of my wonderful Yalie friends and hopefully my new PII friends, and anything else I can get my camera on. I'm not sure what to expect, but no matter what, I want to experience Japan as much as possible. As much as possible, I want to try new things, meet new people, and explore new places.

So here's my blog, Narubeku. As much as possible. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
